I think I prefer the term brainwashing myself. For that is what cults do.

"Children, now everyone hold hands and sing along while we perform the ritual sacrifice of small cute animals of the fluffy variety."
I think someone needs to just come right up to him very deliberately and slap him across the face.

ZOMG, I have practically no inhibitions about that! *drags Haru-san and Ocha* TO TOSHI! AWAAAAY! XD This probably relates to his arrest about brainwashing the children. And it's kinda freaky that it reminds me of Hope House Adoption Center from Silent Hill 3 and 4. cults are scary scary people.

Yeah, well they're called 'cults' for a reason. There's not a cult out there that's any good. Poor Toshi was just unhappy... and looking for something. That's usually what cults are made out of, people who felt empty, and were looking for something... anything to fill the emptiness.
Poor stupid man.

Promptly dies laughing* Well, yeah, I wish that Toshi would have found another outlet for the unhappiness and the pain of emptiness somewhere else, rather than a cult. I mean look what it made him he sounds like a New age Yoga instructor-ness because of the Masaya.

Well... I guess it could be worse. He could have filled his emptiness with drugs and alcohol until he died a young death... personally, between the two options, I prefer where he is now though I don't like either of them at all. But better a living breathing old, yoga instructor singing about love and grass than an old Dead J-rocker who left behind millions of poor fans to greive for his short life.

Love and grass XD when I saw that comment, it reminded me of the breezy layout that the site had lol.
But yeah, you're right. Better that he was alive than dead, it would be sad that the former X Japan members lost another one too T_T....thought I still don't approve of what Toshi's become.

Well, he obviously doesn't give a flip what anyone thinks. I don't care for it much either but there's nothing we can do except be aggrivated at him for chosing the 'I'm a crazy man' path in life.
But... I guess... if he's really happy. Really happy, and not just pretending and fooling himself. Then we should be happy that he's happy. That was hard to say -_-

Just out of curiosity, why do you guys consider this a cult and why do you call him crazy? It sound more like a spiritual awakening sort of thing for him and everyone has to choose their own spiritual path. Cults are usually sects that say you have to believe as we do or you're wrong and they worship some person rather than a diety. I didn't see any of that on his site.
I just hope he's happy. Sounds like he is.

Well, the Masaya "group" is actually a cult and there's clear evidence behind that (why Toshi was arrested for CWL and the reasoning behind it). Apparently that's the path Toshi took upon leaving X Japan. Hrm....not the best, but at least he's pretending to be happy and not gone from the world like Kami, Kazuki, Shaisuke, and Hide

I belive in spiritual awakenings, I've had one myself but I don't belive they involve giving ALL of your money to an organization then making music for them etc etc. I've read Toshi's english site and it seems that what Masaya says, goes. For a while I thought "Messiah" was an actuall person not a group. Groups are far mroe dangerous. But anyway, I hope he's doing ok...

Well, he should be, considering that he's still making music and the like. Although I don't like how his songs are so empty sounding....yet so hauntingly beautiful. TOSHI WHY?!?! *gloms head into wall*
EDIT: BTW Haru-san, I think that "Messiah"/Masaya is an actual person and the group is the "Masaya cult" as a whole. That's the feeling I'm getting after reading the message and the interview. It seems to refer to MASAYA as a person.....hrm.

The cult I believe is actually called "Home of Heart" or something along those lines. At least, that's the cult that he was affiliated with when he was charged under the CWL law. I'm guessing this Home of Heart is in someway connected to Masaya but you've got me... I'm not a big cult person. But yeah... it's a cult. Brainwashing children/ Raising them in boxes/ not letting them go to school.... yes... cult like action. I highly doubt that was just a "Let me find myself" spiritual journey thing.

True true....but I thought "Home of Heart" was the name of an adoption house or something? I'm going to have to go back to Shiroi Heya's site and read that again.....it's been awhile....
But yeah, what Ocha outlined there is definately cult activity.....that isn't much of a "Let me find myself" spiritual thing......unless that's a really REALLY twisted way of practicing it......
