I usually don't care what other people think, but if you don't want to run away a crowd. I would start will a little bit of makeup and dressy costumes. I really enjoy Perriots look. Kiri's got good make up and none of the members seem to go out all 'visual' but they still are at the same time.

I agree with you. Do what YOU like and if people love it then it's great, if not you will feel much better than being fake just to fit in because "you simply can't look that way in the USA" and why can't you? there are people that look that way in music here. Hah, I personally dont give a crap about the world. I'm just going to look how i want and make music how I want. If other people dig, then that's cool if they don;t that's cool too lol.

I was a Dom that use to beat people. Meow. I use to work at an S and M gothic Industrial Night Club about 9-10 years ago. I also toured for 6 months with the impotent seasnakes.

ah ha! I think that usa would probably take to that style... well... I mean... some of the american indie rock bands have kinda a "visual" style so to speak... bright spiked hair, plaid, pointy assessories...ect... so... you just never know untill you try...
but...uhh if it dosen't work the way you want... go to japan with your band, it'd work there.
As for the actual style... i'd say use costume make up. its pretty cheep, should be pretty durable, you can use it for anything, and its darker than normal makeup. esspecailly for eye makeup, regular eye shadow won't keep its color that well.

So did you also get affected by Hurricane Ivan? My mom lives in Mobile, Alabama and my sister and her family lives in New Orleans. So you can imagine how scared i was. They all evacuated to Memphis, Tennessee. Then the storm headed my way and we had to leave. It sucked hell, but all is cool now. BTW....STOP with all the nice sayings about me. Remember the "How Glompable are you?" quiz? I received an "UMGLOMPABLE" title. So stand back or you'll get hurt. Whatcha trying to do, ruin my hard edge reputation?

That's fairly simple to accomplish. Buy regular clothes and modify them or go to your nearest 'Goth shop'. It's really a no brainer.
