Since not everyone who makes it here makes it to the main site not everyone gets to see the lovely informative articles there. And since I can't make updates at this time I'm posting the various articles in thier sections AND to those who have pending articles I'll make forums for your artists and I'll post those articles that you have so nicely submitted in those forums too. Once I get access to my server again I'll make the updates on the site and hopefully add those new articles too. Thank you for your patience.
Judy and Mary By: Mia Simmons
Judy and Mary are about as bouncy as it gets in the 90’s J-Pop scene. If you want to listen to something happy, pull out one of their 7 albums and “J.A.M.”(Yes, pun intended.)
Judy and Mary started in 1992. The band was formed by members Yuki and Onda (who eventually left the band). Within a year Tokuya, Yoshihio, and Kotha joined the lineup and Judy and Mary started pumping out singles. Their first single was Power of Love which was soon fallowed by their first album J.A.M. After two more successful albums Judy and Mary gained a larger fan base from their song 'Sobakasu' which had become the opening theme song for the animated series Rurouni Kenshin. 'Sobakasu' was the song that really pushed Judy and Mary into Stardom. Yuki (vocals), Takuya(guitar), Kohta (drums) and Yoshihio(bass) were instant stars.
Judy and Mary continued to put out 9 albums and 22 singles up until their disbandment in 2001. Their final album was entitled ‘WARP’. Most of the members went solo or on to separate projects but Yuki is still the most famous putting out multiple albums herself. Her song 'Home Sweet Home' is now a theme for the animated series Naruto. Judy and Mary may no longer be together but the memory of this pop sensation lives on.
