So I know we have a topic for X Japan's ballads now its time for one about thier RAPE YOU IN THE BUM ROCK METAL SONGS OF DOOM. I really like thier older stuff like I'll Kill you, Orgasm, Stab me in the back, and Sadistic Desire. God those songs gett my blood pumping.

I love Art of Life, Silent Jealousy, Miscast, Blue Blood . . . Yeah, I LUUUUUUUUUURVE X's metal way better than their ballads. Seriously, as soon as I started listening to my first X japan song ever, which was Kurenai of their Best Fan's Selection, I was, like, this band is God.
Art of Life is the God of all songs.

Lol I think the church of X is officially open with you Creshy. I always liked rock songs better than ballads. They're a great deal harder to play but hell they're awsome.

heehee no doubt, it was a hide song. the songs hide and Taiji wrote are my favorites. I love the Yoshiki ones too but he always found a way to "puss" them up as much as he could lol.

~Waddles in~ I love X-Japan!
Even though I prever their ballads I still love the rest of their music. Especially when I'm not exactly in a "Loved lovers lost love" mood.
I like Orgasm, and SCARS
I crave ART OF LIFE sometimes... I watched the live version, and it's hard to keep a straight face when you're actually watching Yoshiki throw himself onto the piano the way he does. Pretty interesting...

OOOooh Metal X Japan *does the stupid happy dance* I can't chose....hrm. I'd have to go with either Blue Blood (my first X metal song) and Orgasm heehee. I go all melty when I listen to those two again. Ah, the heydays of Aeiji back in her younger J-rock/Visual Kei years.

i luve Rose of Pain.. it got a classical feeling to it.. loved it since the day i heard it.. nice guitar solos.. Kurenai isnt that bad.. Blue Blood and X is just as great.. Art of life is OK.. but i find it too long sometimes.. But it got great lyrics..

I can never listen to Art of Life unless I have a full half hour to spare . . . to not do anything . . . just sink into the wonderfulness of it all.
That's the way I like to listen to my music best. not doing anything but listen.
There is only one X Japan song that I don't really enjoy listening to, and that's White Poem . . . so it's all good.

I actually started liking X Japan because of their harder stuff (got the Blue Blood album). I've yet to work my way to any ballad (the word looks the same when reflected down the middle... Me no like), save for whatever's on Blue Blood, like Rose of Pain.
But yeah, I typically like hard music better because the fast pace gets me going and I play gwee-tar so it's fun (certain riffs in X, Kurenai, and Weekend are the stuff of legends)... Not to downplay the slower stuff, though.

X Japan, being -the- most influential Japanese band of all time, of course had they're AWESOME ballads, but where would they be without their HARD ROCKING KICK ASS METAL SONGS?! I'm a huge fan of Silent Jealously, Rusty Nail, and SCARS.

I'm trying to get a friend to teach me the bass intro to SCARS, he says it isnt too hard, its just the fact I'm hopeless on the bass guitar xD
my favorite metal X song is Rusty Nail, though =D

I taught myself SCARS. It's really easy.
Like, start on an open string, then do the first fret on the next string up, then the second fret, then the second fret on the next string up. That's all there is to it. You can figure out the rhythm yourself, and transpose it into the right key. Yeah, it's awesome. It's one of the only basslines I can play.
That's gotta be the best bassline ever though. I fell in love with it instantly!
